Baba Yaga's hut by meteoro-nayade Baba Yaga's hut by meteoro-nayade
Baba Yaga is a character from eastern Europe folklore. She is an old crone who lives on a hut that moves on chicken legs and she guards the Fountain of Youth and Death, according to some versions of the tale.

I also learnt more about her by reading the great Winterland Characters posts at the blog Into the Hermitage [link]

The glowiness was due to me trying to fix the colours of the previous picture with photoshop, but now I already changed the file for a better one where colours look more like the original.

I know what you say about the gloomy feeling about Baba Yaga, but if what I've read is true, it's said that daring to face her can result in greater wisdom. So that's not all bad. In any case, I was thinking of making a darker piece with the same topic... let's see when I've got the time!
